FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR

 

BRIDGES is a non-profit, community-based organization providing services to individuals with mental wellness needs and their family members since 1996. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Food Services Coordinator will be responsible for all food services, including two weekly hot meals, occasional catering for small and large groups and the BETTER BITES Meal Program.

 

This is a permanent position of 20-30 hours per week (average). Some flexibility with hours will be required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Extensive food preparation skills and experience.
  • Experience with planning, organizing and implementing kitchen activities and catering groups of 25 to 100 people.
  • A “people person” with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and flexible.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with, and provide direction to other kitchen staff and volunteers.
  • General knowledge of mental health issues would be an asset.      
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Food Safety and Standard First Aid.
  • Driver’s license and vehicle is required.
